Job Description: Clinical Psychologist/Educational Psychologist
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Psychologist/Educational Psychologist to join our team at The Supporters for Educational Services and Development. As a Clinical Psychologist/Educational Psychologist, you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and providing counseling interventions for students with diverse learning and emotional needs. Your expertise and guidance will contribute to creating a supportive and nurturing environment for students' overall well-being and academic success.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral strengths and challenges.
Diagnose and provide evidence-based counseling interventions for students with learning disabilities, developmental delays, emotional disorders, and other psychological concerns.
Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop appropriate strategies and interventions to support students' academic and socio-emotional development.
Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address students' psychological and emotional needs.
Offer consultation and guidance to teachers and staff members regarding behavior management, classroom strategies, and the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
Conduct research and analysis to contribute to the development and improvement of educational programs and interventions.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, counseling sessions, and progress reports.
Stay updated with current research, best practices, and ethical guidelines in the fields of clinical psychology and educational psychology.
Collaborate with other psychologists and professionals within the organization to share knowledge, resources, and expertise.
Attend relevant professional development trainings and conferences to enhance knowledge and skills.
Provide flexibility in transportation to reach various settings, including schools, students' homes, and clinics, to deliver counseling services.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, or a related field.
Proven experience in conducting psychological assessments and providing counseling to children and adolescents.
Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and counseling modalities for diverse populations.
Understanding of learning disabilities, developmental disorders, and emotional disorders in the educational setting.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, educators, and other professionals.
Compassion, empathy, and the ability to establish a therapeutic rapport with students.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in all professional activities.
Proficient in using technology for psychological assessment, documentation, and communication.
Possess flexibility in transportation to travel to different settings, including schools, students' homes, and clinics, as required.
